Indian Institute of Research in Numismatic
Studies (IIRNS), located near Anjaneri village on the Nashik-Tryambakeshwar
road in the Nashik district of Maharashtra, (India), is the
only Institution in India devoted exclusively to Numismatic
Studies. Established with the prime objective of facilitating
and promoting research in Indian Numismatics, it has created
world-class facilities for research and training in numismatics.
All serious students of Indian Numismatics and allied subjects
should visit the Institute for here they will find easy access
to coins from various collections, access to which are generally
very difficult, in the form of photo documentation, one of
the best libraries on the subject, a very helpful staff and
very conducive environment for study and research. What will
normally take 10-12 months if you go to Museum/s and libraries
to look for your research material, you can get it done in
one month if you visit this Institute. This is the USP of
the Institute. The Institute also acts as an educator through
awareness courses and training programmes, Museum, and bringing
out publications.
