This is my first visit of the Institute
- a series of pleasant surprises, starting from
the extremely helpful staff, including the vast
and well-kept library and reclining to the down-to
earth matters like food and lodging, await. Despite
the fact that my visit was not planned in advance
and the staff had received no notice of my coming,
I had all the facilities necessary for work and
sojourn at my disposal immediately so that not a
single hour has been wasted. The Institute deserves
to be widely known and I shall recommend its visit
to all scholars working in the field of Indian numismatics
and economic history. A fine example of an Institution
run without excessive bureaucratic administering,
in a rational way and with clearly defined purpose
and aims. I wish the Institute and its members all
the best in the future and hope to be able to visit
it again.
